I paid $1500 for my for first "large" hard disk in the early '90s:
a 330MB 5.25" full-height Siemens ST506 drive. That was a massive upgrade over m
y collection of 20-80MB drives at the time and helped to make Vertrauen a popula
r BBS for image upload/download around that time.
Then in the mid '90s, an upgrade to 1.2GB drive (another $1300), and I thought I
'd never need another hard disk again. :-)
