I thought the covid pandemic had something to do with it. With people having be
en in quarantine, there may have been fewer people working to produce computer p
arts, thus the lack of supply. It seems like it has been across the board - The
re's a printer I've been considering buying that has been out of stock at most p
laces I've looked, and it seems scalpers are trying to sell it for a higher pric
e than its normal retail price.
I also heard a story in the news recently that even car makers (specifically, Fo
rd) have been affected by the drop in supply of computer chips and parts.
As far as it being due to the covid pandemic, I guess I'm not sure if that's a m
ajor factor or not.
