All you need on GNU/Linux is to have java and javac binaries and the other erequ
ired libraries and such.
To install just do sudo apt-get install openjdk-7-jre (for the compiler) and sud
o apt-get install openjdk-7-jdk.
I made a mistake there. JDK is for the compiler and jre is for the interpreter/v
