There is a zip or tar.gz there with a precompiled syncterm in it. I have used
it before and it worked for me. Just put the executible somewhere like
/usr/local/bin and make it executible if it's not already.

I don't know how that file was compiled.. it may or may not work for you but it 
is worth a try.
