i purchased AB-I shortly after it was introduced... AB-I is freeware as of
v1.40 and it still recognises valid registration codes if one has such...
AFAIK, no reg keys are needed...
AB-II is now free... a key set was posted from the author's redaxe site back in
2003, though...

i do know that you don't want to hack it or run hacked version because it will
protect itself like a lot of other software will do that's been hacked...
i'm not sure what happened with mark's redaxe site but it looks like it has
been taken over by some other company... the ab2 links that point there are
404... [time passes] after further digging, i find that the software available
at redaxe is software that mark wrote and released... at least from what i can
see, he did the cricketstatz program and some more digging turns up that he
apparently kept the redaxe site for his new private company "red axe pty ltd"
in 2010...
