 KW> 1999. 784k/384k ADSL. How far we've come!

Indeed. I originally had a 2/.5M abb in 2002 (when my 2xIDSN abb with two
additional copper wire pairs connected to my house, was cancelled). It
eventually was updated, step by step, to an incredible 8/2M abb on the same
pair of copper wires. At the cost of EUR40 per month, when the average cost for
fibre was EUR20.

Well, after a long (almost like GigaBerlin now) incredible fight, we
eventually got our fibre here, in the outskirts of Göteborg, almost ten years
ago.

And here I was with ten (!) *pairs* of copper wires ("for future use, you
damn line user") connected to my house. Oh, how nice it was to cut that huge
cable at my property border, and clean out all the shit, needed for ISDN and
then ADSL to work, on my wall. :)
