(I haven't heard that word in ages!) Yes, as soon as I saw the red-hot
resistor shut the system off. At the time didn't know what was glowing
but knew it was wrong. (Filter cap failed, and also took a another
resistor out. Forgot the wattage of it but was close to the size of a
roll of half-dollars [!!]. IIRC was wire-wound.)
