i dont believe that. you dont get put on probation when you are promoted. it's
not the same as a job xfer. in the fed govt everything has codes and forms and
shit and everything is separate.

so they had off and they get back pay. so what? they had a little vacation and
no harm done.
dude you must not know much about working as a fed. sometimes there are
screwups and people miss a month's worth of pay. being a federal employee is
like working in a world of bullshit and red tape.
