Ken Jennings, if I remember right.
The thing I remember about Alex Tribec, was that he was born in Canada,
and was later naturalized a US Citizen. A week after he was naturalized,
he got summoned for jury duty!!
Well, my Mom and I were talking about that, and the next day, I got my summons
for jury duty!!
If I had told them I was taking a course in Criminal Justice at the local
college...or that "Only The Good Lord and the defendant know of the guilt
involved. If they're guilty and are acquitted, they'll fare far worse after they
die"...they would've dismissed me instantly. <G>
Had it been a case with where a car tried to beat a train at a railroad
crossing, there is NO WAY I could serve. The law of physics win out, with
1 locomotive being 300 tons, a fully loaded freight train at least 12,000
tons, and most vehicles from 1-2 tons. Then, it takes far more inertia to
stop something moving, than to get it moving from being stopped. In short,
it's no contest.
