I have said for years and years that the Democrats keep certain issues in
their back pockets... the poor, abortion, etc... and intentionally don't do
anything to really fix them so that they can pull them out every four years
and claim "now is the time."
Then, once elected, they will blame "Congress" or someone else for these
things not getting done... that is if they don't totally ignore them.
They don't want to fix the problems because then they have nothing to run
on.
