Hello everyone,

I wanted to take a moment to summarize my thoughts and responses in a new post.
I've seen a lot of activity across various threads, and I think it's important t
o address a few key points moving forward. If anyone wants to revisit previous d
iscussions, feel free, but I'll be focusing on how we can improve our debates he
re.

Some have suggested that I belong on Reddit. I want to clarify that I've been pa
rt of this BBS community for decades and deeply value the diverse perspectives h
ere. I'm not seeking an echo chamber; I'm here to engage in meaningful debate, a
nd I believe this community is capable of that.

I've been accused of trying to avoid debate by making provocative statements and
then moving on quickly. I assure you, that was never my intention. My goal was
to spark a lively discussion, and I'm here to engage fully with anyone willing t
o have a constructive conversation.

It's been noted that toxicity is present in this forum. I agree that it can some
times derail our discussions. My hope is that we can steer away from personal at
tacks and focus on the issues, making this forum a more welcoming space for ever
yone.

Debate is most productive when it challenges ideas, not individuals. I encourage
everyone, including myself, to keep our discussions centered on the issues at h
and and to respect differing opinions, even when we strongly disagree.

Moving forward, I'm committed to maintaining a respectful tone in all my interac
tions here. I hope we can all do the same, ensuring that this forum remains a pl
ace for thoughtful and civil debate. Let's keep our focus on the topics that mat
ter and leave personal attacks out of the conversation.

Additionally, I'm currently working on modernizing and re-releasing GT-PowerBBS,
as I am the rights holder, and getting back into BBS communities. I'll likely b
e connecting to DOVE-Net, so I'm looking forward to interacting with many of you
 in that space as well.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I look forward to continuing our di
scussions in a more constructive and respectful manner. This community has poten
tial, and I hope we can work together to make it a better place for meaningful d
ebate.

Thanks,

Neofree
