My country has a History of voting or empowering scumbags so there is nothing No

But since you want to go there, whataboutism is an awful debating strategy becau
se by using it you are conceeding your position sucks, and then you try to convi
nce it just sucks less than the alternatives. This might be viable, but if this
was a court it would be considered Affirmative Defense, which nearly everybody a
grees is an awful thing. "Sure, I confess I stole that million dollar, but I can
cling to a flimsy exception in the law that may save my butt. Now I need to pro
ve the exception applies, instead of having you force to prove I stole the money
."
This is made worse by the fact the average Trump supporter can just entrench and
say "Things were so good with Trump that I don't mind if he is a criminal or no
t." This is an utilitarian response (Utilitarism being a pilar form many Sociali
st movements by the way, so it would be a bit hypocritical to argue against it).
Trump supporters pride themselves in being able to defend the Trump administrat
ion by pointing out its successes rather than having to resort only to tearing d
own ceaselessly at the opposition (which, quite frankly, is the only thing Democ
rats can do).
