BM>Hi Daryl!
Hi, Barry,
BM>I sort of remember that brand but has also heard "a lot" of elderly were
BM>eating tinned cat and dog food because it cheaper than human food.
BM>Seemed like the humans-eating-pet-food was a common story for a while
BM>and now I don't recall hearing about it for years.
It was quite common years ago, but you're right...you don't see much
of that now. The processed food is loaded with, and drowning in sodium.
But, all the health food is far more expensive. Yet, no matter what we
eat or drink, we're all going to die sooner or later.
BM>Per a quick Google she is still alive: Dr. Ruth Westheimer, 89 years BM>old.
Wow.
BM>A failing oil pump may explain that dashboard light! I think we're
BM>supposed to have a ½" of snow tomorrow afternoon and then around 2" some
BM>time Monday. Bettween the Super Bowl and the "blizzards" the grocery
BM>stores just might have bare shelves!
I hope that's the problem. I'd like to keep the car running for a good
while. It may not be the cleanest inside (the dashboard has cracked from
drying out), but as long as it runs, and isn't full of rust, I don't
care.
BM>Ha-ha! A friend of mine had his first colonoscopy maybe ten years ago BM>and
they did find some polyps, so snip. Follow-up (probably the five BM>years
later) there were no abnormalities. ..His main complaint re: the BM>prep for
the last check was having to get up in the middle of the night BM>to take the
'Rotor Rooter' solution.
Comedian Jeff Foxworthy has a video on his "experience". One woman
took the point of "clear liquid" as she could have vodka beforehand.
However, any alcoholic beverages before or after a procedure are a
definite no-no...as the consequences could be fatal. In short, she had
to do the prep work a second time, go through it again, and pay for the
entire cost herself!!
Normally, Medicare requires at least 1 year and 1 day between
procedures, such as a colonoscopy...or they won't pay for it. Well, I
had my last upper GI in 2014, and my last colonoscopy in 2015, so I'd
say I'm due.
Daryl
