I think a classical conservative would consider that effect a success. I'd rathe
r have the population administrate that 3.2% difference of the GDP than a govern
ment known not to represent the will of the people (and yes, there is some study
 that shows the federal government is consistently bad at taking actions the pop
ulation wants, which is very bad when you consider the government is supposed to
 represent the will of the people).

Also, if you live in the real world, trickle down is totally a thing. It is not 
as beautiful as politicians paint it, but I can guarantee you it is much easier 
to make a living selling stuff as a minorist when people with more money than yo
u have more disposable income.
