I finished S1 last night. I just couldn't watch that last 2 episodes in one
sitting each.
The mumbling and poor articulation of some of the characters really bothered
me. Most of the actors rarely opened their mouths properly to speak. I was
saddened when they killed off the William Hurt character. I thought that his
involvement into the early development of the synths and the background story
of conflict with his scientist associates would have been interesting.
Westworld took a better approach. They didn't proselytise so much on the
ethics/morals and artificial sentience/conscientiousness. They concentrated on
the mystery of the creator, the secret of "maze", and the liberation or escape
of the robots to the "outside".
I heard there was a Russian production based on human robots, Better Than Us.
Gonna give that one a try.
