Thanks! ...Note that was lazier than typing 'thank you'!
Yesterday did create the 'remote power monitor'. Nice little blue one
(the original flickering one is blue), use RC sub box to find suitable
value for the drop-down resistor ==> the original (flickering) one is so
bright I put a piece of paper over to partially shade.
So at least now if the original power LED fails I'll have a secondary
indicator.
