The ones I am thinking of fall into your second category but, with this
being an election year and Trump being the opponent, have gone all in and
are now speaking up about how "great" Biden *and* Harris are. Granted,
they are usually doing it while taking a pot shot at Trump/conservatives/
religion, but they will defend either of them if they get any push-back.
You are right, though, there are still many in that second category who are
still smart enough to remain quiet about it.
