Hi Daryl!

BM> DS> large kidney stone got jammed in one of the implants.
 BM>Ouch!
DS> Ouch doesn't begin to describe it.

Agreed, having experienced the 'wonderful little critters'. The good
news is I haven't been anywhere near maximum pain scale and hope I never
do.

BM>No idea if still on the books but when I was learning to drive in New
BM>Hampshire state law prohibited driving with anything hanging from the
 BM>rearview mirror.
DS> Some people will have a "fragrance tree" or some "decoration
DS> beads" hanging from the mirror. It reminds me of a classic
DS> cartoon from Gary Larson's "The Far Side", where 2 cows are in a
DS> car...and there's a "tree" hanging down from the mirror, with the
 DS> word MANURE on it.

To each his (or in the case of the cows her) own!

 DS> All righty, then!! :P
BM>Right, though I was reading one has something like ten seconds in which
BM>the sent action can be undone. Was re: cell phone messages. ...Takes
BM>me more than ten seconds to log in!
DS> I have a multi digit key code to access my phone...better than
DS> a finger pattern...as the finger pattern can be traced. The
DS> number pattern can not be traced. Some apps will intentionally
DS> skew the numbers around for "better protection"...you just have
DS> to be careful on how you enter the info.

The random positioning of the numbers when entering one's PIN does make
sense;; LIS, one needs to pay attention as the target is moving!

 BM>This morning (Monday) it's 47° and a little foggy. They're talking
BM>about potentially severe storms around 3 o'clock east of the Mississippi
BM>(I'm a dozen blocks west) with 50+ MPH winds. And yes, a possibility
 BM>of a tornado also.
DS> We had snow on Jan. 15...then late on Jan. 21 and early Jan.
DS> 22, 3 tornadoes touched down in the state. I hope that doesn't
DS> mean tornado seasion is starting early.

It can never start AFAIC! They're talking about up to 50 MPH winds here
Friday and Saturday. Today in the mid-30's, tomorrow maybe into the
upper 40's. Forgot what they said about the weekend (not warm but not
cold either), and next week back into the Artic chills.

BM>I don't drive that much so fill up with a whole quarter-tank once a
BM>month, or occasionally if I'm riding with someone have them get gas and
BM>I use my points that way.
DS> With all the groceries I have to get for my Mom, I build up
DS> points quick. But, since I'm doing all the driving for her now,
 DS> why not??

It's a way to get 'something for your troubles' without "charging" you
mother.

BM>That method works for you! :) I would get distracted and forget, or
 BM>something would come up, or....
DS> Backup my hard drive?? I can't find the reverse switch!! :P

Reminds me: ages ago I had one computer which for some reason I had an
on/off switch for the HDD. Must have been a second drive, and wasn't to
dual boot. The computer would not boot if both drives were active when
power applied, but was fine if just one. (And yes, I probably has the
M/S jumper or Cable Select correct.) Probably 25 years ago so long
gone.

BM>... What type of lip moisturizer is best for butt-smooching your boss?
 DS> Brown Cheep-Stick. <G>

Glad I don't need that any longer!
