Ah, thanks for the tip.
I tend to not really like having too many games to scroll through. I made a bac
kup of what was on the card initially, and then removed many of the ROMs and kep
t the ones I typically like to have on a device. The cover art for many of the
games were already on the SD card, which saved me some time. I also found a uti
lity for generating a gamelist.xml file, though it's fairly simplistic in that i
t looks for every file in a directory and writes a gamelist.xml with the filenam
e, name (with the extension stripped off), and a cover art image, which it assum
es has the same name as the ROM but with a .png or .jpg or something. I still ha
d to do some manual work in specifying the actual cover art filenames. Also, the
tool I was using doesn't write things like the release date, publisher, etc. (n
ot smart enough to do that, and I'm not sure if there's a database for those kin
ds of things for such a tool to use).
