From the shore, that's exactly what is looked like: an on-off pattern, due to wa
ves or obstructions or whatever. It looked like someone was trying to signal the
 houses *or* frantically searching for something in the water. From the drone's 
perspective it looked more like a search light, but I certainly didn't guess it 
was a night spearfisherman. But I was flying too low, obviously.
