Hi Daryl!

I won't say I did or have that but it's tamped down reasonably well.
The computers around here are generally old/refurbished -- I don't need
a 24-core 10 GHz (surpasssed Watson!) mainframe -- err, server. OTOH I
do try to get something with a reasonable cost (to my way of thinking)
that can be upgraded/added on to keep current as needed (my needs).
...Was trying to remember when I had my 'Super XTs' and a co-worker at
the store had a side computer business and semi-talked me into a
486DX-2/66, using some of the hardware from the XTs. (The 'Super XT'
had IDE drives instead of MFMs, etc.) Discussions of what hardware to
move over, what would be new... Not recalling what it was but I had
something left out he generally installed as I had no need for it though
could see the benefits and so did have the option for a later add-on as
a daughtercard. Firewire?? (As opposed to USB.) Seems that's too
trivial.
DS> Sadly, so many can't tell the difference between their NEEDS
DS> and their WANTS (i.e. impulse buying).
I do have a few impulse-ish items. Most are used, some have gathered
dust.
