Those double action revolver triggers, (particularly on snubs) can be st
iff as the devil himself. I will say, something that goes bang is better than no
thing. There are a lot of different loads in .38 and many can be handloaded with
a kit that is less than $90. (It may be cheaper, my memory is lacking.)
Take a look at some defensive loads in .38. It is a very adaptable calib
er for what it is. I shoot it some in my Single Action Army revolver in .38 / .3
57. Hopefully, you never need it and it just weighs down the belt and sits on t
he bedstand.
