I noticed that, too. Watching his training videos I was expecting to see a
knockout early, and while there were little blips of him looking like he was
about to unleash the wrath that he's known for, he would back off quickly and
bite his glove (fiercely even, at times - like he was doing everything in his
power not to fuck him up). He ended up looking nothing like his training videos,
though.

That might matter a little, but there were plenty of times both of them held
back, as to not hurt the other one. Nobody in their right mind would spend an
entire match against Mike Tyson with their hands at their hips, like Jake did -
unless he knew for sure he wasn't getting hit hard.

I agree completely. Just like everyone else that has signed a contract to step
in the ring with Jake. Most, if not all of those ex-UFC fighters got the biggest
payday they've ever had in comparison to working for Dana and the UFC.
